All mains services are connected to the caravan, and there will be some form of heating, often full central heating.
One of the biggest attractions of taking a break in a caravan holiday home is the cost. In high season you may have to pay £500 - £1000 per week, but that is for a caravan which will sleep 6 or 8 people, making is a very economical holiday all round. In low season that price will drop as low as £100 per week.
Bigger caravan parks will offer a full range of entertainment for the whole family, from kids clubs to show-bar with nightly cabaret or disco. They will have a full programme of sports and other activities, and usually at least one indoor heated swimming pool.
Of course, the trade-off is that there will be a certain amount of noise, particularly in the evening, when families make their way back to their caravan after an evening out. This need not be a problem if everyone shows consideration for others.
If the park has been established for some time, a whole range of tourist attractions and activities will be available in the locality, with golf, pony trekking, hiking, go-karting and many more.
