Tourist Attractions The Peak District National Park is the second most visited national park in the world, with an estimated 22 million visitors each year. This deservedly popular area provides so much to see and do for visitors who return time and time again.

There are many picturesque villages and towns to explore, each with its own distinctive history. Ashford in the Water with its delightful sheepwash bridge over the river Wye, Eyam with its tragic history and Bakewell famous for its delicious sweet pudding.

Take an underground boat at Speedwell Cavern in Castleton, test your nerve at Alton Towers, cycle on traffic free trails or enjoy the more relaxed attractions of Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall.

Directions Leave the M1 at Junction 29 to Chesterfield (A617), then take the A61, turning right onto the A632 towards Matlock. Take the B5057 to the right (Two Dales). The park is about 4 miles on the right hand side.
